I am...
a Super "Natural" Connector, Facilitator, Ecologist, Champion of Women and the Wild, Owner and Creator of Luminata
What I do.
I offer mindfulness and nature retreats, spiritual and wellness coaching, and land-based consulting and immersive experiences in and around Austin, throughout Texas, and wherever I am called. I guide people to reconnect with nature so they can hear their inner wisdom and live with authenticity and presence.
What's a Luminata?
I came up with the name Luminata at the age of 19, when I was tasked with creating a brand in college. I was inspired by the Latin word "lumen," the root of the word "light," and "Iluminada," my Aunt's name, which means "enlightened one" in Spanish.
It followed me through every chapter of my life, not for what I did, but for what I sought: clarity, truth, 'the way'. Now, with all my passions flowing together, the name finally fits, like a beacon for the work I was always meant to do.
Once upon a time, I designed sustainable landscapes and restored damaged ecosystems for a living. My passion was in studying nature's cycles and learning how to build resilience within them.
One day, I had an awakening: the earth is going to be just fine; it's the people who are so disconnected from it that need care.
Now I help humans tend to their inner and outer worlds. Same cycles, same resilience, same dirt-under-the-fingernails wisdom...
Because we’re not separate from nature, we are nature.
I’ve spent my life exploring what it means to be human—as an actor, model, filmmaker, and bodyworker—all different ways of listening and telling our stories. Today, I weave science and spirit into everything I do as a certified spiritual and mindfulness coach, speaker, and creator of Spiritual Composting™. I guide land stewards through Spiritual Ecology and hold space through mindful gatherings, helping people shed what no longer serves, quiet the noise, and remember they are a force of nature.
